We held a Curry night and promise auction on Thursday the 16th April at The Spice Lounge in Exmouth in order to raise funds for our trip to Vietnam. The Event was a sell out and helped us raise an amazing £2,500!
In the summer of 2015, 25 Explorer Scouts and Leaders from Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton will be travelling to Vietnam for 3 weeks to undertake a construction project within a local community in the Sapa region of the country before heading out to travel the length of Vietnam on the Reunification Express. We’ve raised £31,845 out of the £34,000 we need to help fund the trip, this has been through a combination of fundraising, donations and grants.
Fundraising so far has involved Quizzes, The £5 Challenge, Selling donated items on eBay, Car Boot Sales, Clothes/Ink Cartridge/Mobile Phone recycling, Tent Pitching, Bag Packing, a Music night, Bingo, Car Washes, Collecting in Town and a Curry Night & Promise Auction. Read more…
