In the summer of 2015, 25 Explorer Scouts and Leaders from Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton will be travelling to Vietnam for 3 weeks to undertake a construction project within a local community in the Sapa region of the country before heading out to travel the length of Vietnam on the Reunification Express. Along the way we will be learning more about Vietnamese culture and visiting the tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the war.
This event is a once in a lifetime experience for our young people that will see them develop skills and knowledge to empower them to act as global citizens and positively affect their local communities by demonstrating a commitment to Scouting and creating a better world.
Could you help support this Group by becoming a Friend of Vietnam and donating £10 (or more if you wish) towards the expedition? In return for your support, we will keep you updated with periodic newsletters about how the plans are progressing, send you a postcard from Vietnam and on our return we will invite you to join the Unit at a presentation evening to hear about our Vietnam adventure.
